Transmission Input Shaft Pilot Bearing (In Gland Nut)

When installed on 1200-1600cc engines, this part is inside the gland nut. On T4 engines it's in the flywheel/crank. This centers the input shaft on the transmission. Noise when clutch depressed is the clue that tells you it's bad. This part is ONLY used on standard transmission engines.

If you have a Type 1 and are ordering a gland nut, you do NOT need to order this, as replacement gland nuts come with a pilot bearing already installed.

VW Crank & Flywheel Jig 8 Pin Positioning Tool mounts to the flywheel or crankshaft and aligns them for drilling 4 additional dowel pin holes. The jig includes hardware to mount to either the crank or the flywheel to ensure a proper pattern is drilled. The jig can be used on all 200mm flywheels and 1300cc and larger Type 1 based cranks.
