German Carpets:
Original German Square Weave fabric carpets are very costly. They are for the extraordinarily dedicated restorer who enters shows
where judges with magnifying glasses identify absolutely original restorations.
American Made TMI Carpets: A sensible substitute is our best selling nylon loop pile (American fabric) carpets.
These are just as durable and quite similar in appearance to the original. The color choices are in the accompanying scan.
In the product list the most popular carpets (black and charcoal) are listed individually.
Our new carpets are manufactured by TMI, Inc. and are the best available. These carpets are accurately grommetted around the shift lever, emergency brake and the seat belt points, for each year.
Installation: Installation involves the careful layout and then application of contact cement
along the edges of the carpet and bottom and toward the center (and along mating floor surfaces.) You will "map out" the pieces according to the original carpet or the the floor contours.
We have a nice profusely illustrated "how to" guide to installing Beetle carpets. You may download a copy of these instructions: just copy the following line to your browser bar and you can view the file and print it if you wish.
It is a very large (20 Mb) pdf file.

Passenger Foot Platform: Some cars have a small raised platform for the front passenger's right foot.
Note whether this platform is present in your car, and select the appropriate carpets.
Our carpet sets are "full." They cover the the floor and the rear well (whole area behind the back seat).
